I miss you but nobody can tell
i think of you
and it really feels like hell
coz it would mean
that you'll be in my dreams,
...wanting so much that it's real
only to wake up
in the middle of the night
reaching for nothing in the dark.

Poetry #1 - 2011 Series
I would sometime stop on my tracks
when something in the air tells
you might be missing me
just as much as I'm longing for you.
when something in the air tells
you might be missing me
just as much as I'm longing for you.
Poetry #2 - 2011 Series
would you say hi
if you meet me in your dreams?
would you care?
would you smile
once you realize
...that every word you see
spells like my name?
if you meet me in your dreams?
would you care?
would you smile
once you realize
...that every word you see
spells like my name?

I loved truly once
got hurt twice
been fooled thrice
got dumped, I think, four times
wasn't planning for fifth
but I reached sixth
and on the verge of seventh
I quickly jumped ship
and then I thought
my heart would never reach eight
when ninth came
I honestly felt it's heaven
but I came at tenth
and realized I never got past one.
got hurt twice
been fooled thrice
got dumped, I think, four times
wasn't planning for fifth
but I reached sixth
and on the verge of seventh
I quickly jumped ship
and then I thought
my heart would never reach eight

I honestly felt it's heaven
but I came at tenth
and realized I never got past one.

Untitled 1
I was once a wanderer in this unpredictable world
Until you came and turn the tide.
Now I know what I am here for.
There were days when I need to drag myself up,
when I started hating the rising sun,
when I find solace in the dark corner of my room
But now I know what I am here for.
When you came I was reborn
I started to see colors of different hues
I began to take life as something I have never before had
I learned to appreciate every breath.
In your eyes I see a whole new world.
In your words I understand more.
In your every step I discover how I should live life.
In your every stumble I rekindle my faith.
With your little kisses and tight little hugs
My strength is renewed, my battle wounds healed.
For each day I spend with you,
And for every little surprises you bring through,
the more I know what I am here for.

In your every stumble I rekindle my faith.
With your little kisses and tight little hugs
My strength is renewed, my battle wounds healed.
For each day I spend with you,
And for every little surprises you bring through,
the more I know what I am here for.

Lian's first stage performance confirms the stage mom in me
Eversince Lian started attending school this year, I have anticipated the day that she would be joining school performances. That's why when she informed me Monday of last week that she would be needing a patadyong and kimona ensemble for the Linggo Ng Wika, I was lifted on cloud nine and my younger days at school flashed before me at an instant.
Although I can see that my daughter was equally excited about this, she was trying to be nonchalant about her being on stage. When we coax her to practice her song-dance number "Narda" and her poem "Bahag-hari" (both performances are of the whole class), she would recite the poem or sing the song on a "dedma" mode. It was my mother and I who was more keen that she strictly follow the movements. Katuwa no?
Daddy and I went to SM on Tuesday to buy her patadyong and kimona. Siyempre, we picked the cutest outfit! If I had the time, I would have sewed the piece myself kaya lang it would be in three-days time. Wednesday night, my mother told me Lian would be needing a Darna costume as well. The other parents daw were okay na with a red shorts and white sando then gawa na lang ng headpiece. I adamantly said NO! Since the program will be until Monday (opo, postponed much to my dismay), I said I still have the time to sew her costume. At handsewing ang gagawin ko ha, dahil sira ang makina sa aming bahay. Here's a shot of Lian with her Darna costume that Daddy and I made in 4 days. Oks ba!!??

Come Monday, we were all ready. As usual, Lian was so calm. In their classroom, the level of excitement is really hight, especially of the parents. Kanya-kanyang paganda. Syempre, would they allow their kids to look inferior? Of course not. My Lian asked me to put on her make-up sa house pa lang. So when we reached the school, she was really ready to go up the stage. Pero cool lang, and I took it from her. We stayed on the sideline and waited patiently (just some of the things I learn from my daughter).
Below is a pic of Lian onstage preparing for their poem. Too sad, I wasn't able to capture their Narda performance because the digicam bat went puff! Argh! After it is Lian in her Filipiniana costume.

When they are done, I can hear some mothers express their dissatisfaction on their child's performance. And it's not right. For Christ's sake, they're bunch of 4 and 5! They just went up to have fun and not to audition for Miss Saigon. They should learn from my daughter, as I have. Take everything in a stride. Stay cool, act unmindful of the chaos and just show everyone what she's got. Was I happy with my child's performance? I bought her favorite ice cream afterschool and went malling in the afternoon. Was that a resounding yes or what!
Oh, about my being a stage mom? I can still contain it, nothing to worry =)

My little fairies

My friends and family say I am good at needle works. Maybe I am. That is why one of my dreams is to sew a costume for my kids (and their cousins, if time permits). So in here you see the fairy costumes I did for my daughter Lian (right) and cuz Mickey. This was for last year's halloween feat in the office.
When Jang Geum made it big in Philippine TV, they both requested for me to sew for them little Jang Geum dresses. But now that Majika is in the ratings, they are wanting Sabina and Juno costumes. Let's see come November =)

Second angel on the wing ...

After four years, our family have been blessed with another child. Yes friends, I am 5 months on the way! And no matter how harder it is this time (the first was really a breeze), I am loving every minute of being pregnant, again!
Please pray for a safe pregnancy and delivery, normal and healthy baby (may it be a boy this time ;d) for me. I'll be counting on you.
